Pride in Duffryn

Pride in Duffryn is supported by the Woodland Routes to Wellbeing project, its aim is to help volunteers make environmental improvements through the litter groups and garden project.

February was the start of the Big Clean up in Duffryn, led by Duffryn Community Link and Keep Wales a Tidy as part of Woodland Routes to Wellbeing.

Due to hard work by staff, corporate volunteers and residents over 45 Tonnes of rubbish was cleared and collected by Newport City Council. This would not have been possible without the help and support of:

Residents Becky, Peter and Charles who worked tirelessly to improve the area for the benefit of the local community. Becky and Peter have certainly caught the bug and have now signed up as Litter Champions. If you would like to find out more about being a Litter Champion or are an organisation who would like to sponsor a Litter champion Click Here.

Tredegar Park Eco Councils showed us all that you are never to young to support your community. The children tackled their task with hard work and enthusiasm and were justifiable proud of the difference they made to the area.

A shout out to Martin (Newport City Homes, Jo (Duffryn Community Link) Tom and Andy (Keep Wakes Tidy) a job well done.
