Community Services

Duffryn Community Link is committed to improving opportunities for people of all ages in Duffryn.  To enhance our  existing service  we have obtained funding for a number of projects:

Woodland Routes to Wellbeing

Woodland Routes to Wellbeing is one of six projects in Wales which has successfully received funding from the Big Lottery Create Your Space Programme.  Duffryn Community Link is the lead organisation working with Keep Wales Tidy, Growing Space and the National Trust forming the delivery partnership.

Duffryn Youth Project

To project aims to listen to, engage with, encourage and support the young people aged 8-16 years of age in Duffryn and surrounding area to make positive contributions to their community.

Community Engagement

We have a number of community engagement events and activity running at the moment. These include :

Food Bank

Our food bank service runs every Wednesday from 2-3pm over at Duffryn Community Centre. If you feel this is a service that you could benefit from please get in touch on 816774.

Adult Wellbeing Group

Wellbeing’ group runs on a Friday for adults at the Forest Family Centre. This is delivered by our resident counsellor Diane. Get in touch if you feel this would be something you would like to get involved with.

Parent and Toddler Group

Parent & Toddler group is running Tuesday mornings from 9.30-11am through the summer holidays. Get in touch with Leisa if you want to get involved. Spaces are limited so please call 816774 to put your name down. There will be a charge of 50p per session with tea, coffee, squash, toast and biscuits supplied.

During term time these sessions increase to 2 sessions per week.

Yoga Sessions

What a better way to send your Saturday mornings than come and enjoy some relaxing yoga in the incredible setting of Tredegar House Orangery. Sessions are limited and we currently have a waiting list if you wish to take part. Please contact Leisa to put your name down.
